Martinsville engineering staff members Weldon Reynolds and Randy Ashworth look over a project with engineer Chris Morris.Martinsville Public Works relies on the expertise and resources available in the city's engineering department to provide precise plans for the city's infrastructure development.

The engineering staff provides surveying, plans, and construction stake out for City projects; designs street and utility improvements; maintains the City's inventory of maps, surveys, deeds/easements related to City property/projects; maintains GIS system, maintains/updates the tax maps and City street maps, and provides mapping/graphics support and services for other City departments.
